This penstemon is drought tolerant - although it would appreciate some added summer moisture - and is highly attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. It is a larval source for many native butterfly and moth species, and the dry seed capsues are a nutritious food source for birds and small mammals. The two-tone bright purple flowers are stunning! It grows 1-3 feet tall and 3 feet wide.
Note that these 1-gallon plants have gone somewhat dormant, as native wildflowers do, but they still have some growth and are vigorous growers - most of them bloomed this year.
